The Institute has an outstanding portfolio of research grants and publications and is involved in a wide range of national and international research networks and events. Research is led by a professorial team of international distinction.
ESRI also has a long standing interest in advancing Theory and Methodology in social research. This focuses on the development of theories and methods for understanding, critiquing and intervening in educational and social conditions. We are interested in the ways in which knowledge is produced, used and controlled, and in the complicated relationships that exist between research, policy, professional practice and the public interest.
