The Leadership Lecture is a series of lectures on the theme 'Leadership' held at the Bridgewater Hall. They take place once a year. Speakers have been people who can make specific contributions to the concept of leadership, but who are not always associated with education. These have included Richard Olivier (Theatre Director and Management Trainer) and Bob Maurer (a researcher concerned with Management in Life and Business).
The lecture is followed by networking and small group discussions.
Participants are asked to state how ideas from the lectures could be adapted and taken into schools.
The Centre has monitored the impact of the lectures which are designed to inspire, support and facilitate the individual development of schools and individuals.
One of the most successful concepts in terms of impact on teachers was the principal of ‘small steps’ making a difference in bringing about change (Kaizen).
