The Undergraduate programmes have been designed to enable you to undertake to follow flexible routes through to degree level. Our programmes have been endorsed by Foundation Degree First and we are applying for inclusion in the TDA Integrated Qualifications Framework. If you are already working or aspiring to work in the education sector supporting learning in some way then you will find that this nationally recognised qualification will enable you to develop underpinning knowledge and understanding and to improve your skills in your current role. It will encourage you to think critically about education and learning and to develop your academic skills while drawing on your work based experience. This may enable you to progress your career in a range of roles. The programme is offered over 2 years and can be studied at one of our partner colleges.

| Certificate in Professional Studies (Stage1) Education The programme is designed for students who do not have sufficient HE qualifications to enter BA (top up ) degree directly. If you have some HE level qualifications (eg Certificate in Education for teaching in Further Education) and experience working in education you may be eligible to undertake this bridging programme to BA Education Honours year. You will put together a portfolio of previous experiences and learning and undertake 3 units of study related to education and developing professional practice. Classes will be held on 6 Saturdays across the academic year starting in November 2012 on the Crewe site. You will have access to Moodle and be expected to undertake directed study between sessions. | BA (Honours) Education
If you have other pre degree qualifications and experience you may be able to enter with Advanced Standing to this programme or follow our bridging programme Certificate in Professional Studies. This can be discussed with Programme Leader at interview stage to determine the best and most appropriate route for you. |
