Community Audit
& Evaluation Centre
Outcomes
Our methods provide both qualitative and quantitative information, that
can be used to improve services and identify needs. Additionally we believe
that the process of the research can be as important as the outcome.
Therefore our methods aim to facilitate the sharing and development of
existing and new skills and knowledge i.e.
- Community Networking -
Improving individual and collective knowledge of local resources, facilities
and contacts
- Skills sharing and development -
Participants can build on or gain skills e.g. interviewing, communication,
and participative research.
- Training and accreditation -
possible for both participants in research and staff/agency members.
- Audit findings -
are 'owned' by the community, therefore the knowledge is kept local.
- Solid qualitative and quantitative information, for
use in ongoing monitoring and evaluation.
- Giving a voice to minority communities, under represented
and excluded groups and individuals
- Evidence based practice used in redefining outputs.
